Branding Wellbeing: a holistic rebrand for a growing physio studio

Designing a new chapter

During this 3 months project, I supported a physiotherapy society through a key transition phase involving a relocation, name change, and brand repositioning.

My aim was to create a cohesive and authentic brand identity that reflected their values, aesthetic universe, and professional vision, all while respecting the ethical and regulatory guidelines specific to licensed physiotherapists.

This firm, made up of a duo of practitioners, has already been running for 15 years, but they’ve always worked in the most basic way – with no brand image, no website and no communication media. A big change like a relocation in their case could be a considerable risk, as their customers are “regulars” and the physiotherapy market is very crowded in Bidassoa.

With this branding work, we aim to continue communicating with existing customers and build loyalty after the change, as well as making customer expansion more accessible.

1.

As with every project, and following the design thinking method, I started by doing some research. How is the market in the area? Which companies seem to be working and which don’t? What could make the difference for this one without going against the regulations?

Once the environment had been defined, and after a meeting to discuss their expectations and vision, I introduced them to the design process and Figma collaborative environment, and then organized workshops such as moodboarding and brainstorming to stimulate the creative process.

2.

And so, I helped them on the naming decision process, making sure there was sens behind it to solidify their image. Then, I designed for them a custom logo followed with all the new visual identity. In parallel, I developed the interior decor to align the patient experience with the brand. Thanks to simulations based on photographs of the interior and some Photoshop work, we were able to plan all the colors, materials and requirements for the renovation in advance. The interior design was one of the most important concerns of the project, since in the end, it is where they were going to work every day. It was necessary to make sure that they would feel comfortable and be able to meet the expectations of their clients.

Additionally, I created all print materials ( business cards, signage, flyers, window lettering, and more ) to ensure a consistent and compelling visual presence both online and offline, helping them increase visibility and trust in their new location.

Once all the ongoing tasks progressed well, I started to build their One page website to give them a presence on the internet and make them accessible to many more types of potential clients. In order to have authentic visual material, I organized photo shoots with the partners, in order to follow their brand tone: close, human and confident.

4.

Much of the work was advisory, on how to make the business exist: to have a presence in the networks with reviews, in search engines, to have accessible online supports that can help to advertise you. Being able to reach more customer profiles: in this case, to get closer to the younger generations who make their decisions based on the reliability of the online material you find about a company. Provide security to the client, showing them the veracity of the service.
